Women may experience menstrual irregularities, difficulty conceiving and an increased risk of recurrent miscarriage. In men, reduced sexual function, erectile dysfunction and impaired sperm quality may affect fertility. Children may show delayed physical growth, inadequate height gain and difficulty concentrating.

Dr. Verma stressed the importance of timely diagnosis through thyroid-function tests, including TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. In subclinical hypothyroidism, TSH is elevated while Free T3 and Free T4 may remain within the normal range.

The clinical study involved 30 patients aged 20 to 50 years with elevated TSH levels and normal Free T3 and Free T4 values. Participants received Takradhara for approximately 45 minutes daily for seven consecutive days, followed by assessments at 30, 60 and 90 days after treatment.

The paper also suggested that Shirodhara may promote physical and mental relaxation and may help reduce stress and anxiety. According to the researchers, such effects could potentially influence neuroendocrine functions, although the proposed mechanisms require further scientific investigation.

For guidance related to hypothyroidism, Dr. Verma has also announced a helpline at 9910672020. He advised patients not to stop or alter their prescribed thyroid medication without consulting a qualified healthcare professional. Treatment decisions should be based on clinical evaluation and appropriate thyroid-function tests. In conventional medical practice, Levothyroxine is commonly used when clinically indicated.

If you object to the content of this press release, please notify us at pr.error.rectification@gmail.com.
